Hello! I’m Nurjannah Dalilah from the Faculty of Science & Technology. I’m from group 3 which have chosen Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as our topic research. The primary reason why we had chosen this topic is because the majority of us are from the Faculty of Science & Technology, therefore we have no idea about the psychology schemes then we decided to pick an ADH topic which allows us to explore more about learning disabilities. Many mannerisms that family, teachers, and other supporters find problematic are displayed by people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Those persons, on the other hand, frequently see the world as a task and the attitude of the people in it confusing. For example, many of the ASD kids have wounded themselves by hitting, poking, scratching, or biting them. Self-injury is a very dangerous type of conduct, with one of the highest rates of medical complications. Cuts and bruises, dental issues, fractured bones, concussions, and detached retinas are all possible outcomes of these violent encounters. Intellectual impairment, specific genetic abnormalities, such as Lesch-Nyhan, Smith-Magenis, and Fragile X syndromes, substantial delays in communication and social skills, and greater levels of repetitive behaviour are all risk factors for self-injury in persons with developmental disabilities. Thus, my group's concern for people with disabilities and interested to know more how the educators out there manage fluently to combat such problems.

How do we gain the information?
Firstly, we gained the information from the NGOs which is Head Start. A father of an autistic kid created Headstart Academy. They offer a world-class early intervention programme for children with exceptional needs who are younger. At their excellent facilities, they use a proven worldwide curriculum offered by their professional and fully-trained academic staff. Me & my group were excited and eager to know more about the information with mixing curious thoughts on how the NGOs managed to control and educate the kids.
With the help of the parents, we were able to find a youngster who had been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Adam Muhammad bin Zulkifli Fitri, who is five years old, was diagnosed with ASD at the age of two and a half and had a number of tests. The lack of social connection with classmates his age, followed by lack of eye contact and inconsistency, are the most prominent early indications of results. Adam was unable to construct basic sentences at the age of 3 and was also sensitive to loud noises due to his hearing hypersensitivity.

What do we learn from this group work?
After all my group had studied about the kids with autism, we emotionally became more aware and responsible for understanding people with disabilities. Autism spectrum disorder patients commonly lack perspective-taking abilities. Strengthen these abilities by letting them speak about how they are experiencing, thinking, and what they are going to do about it while watching a movie or looking at images of people. Encourage them to describe and draw attention to the specific indicators that support their thoughts. Autistic persons must be culturally socialized and able to interact with others effectively. For everyone, this should begin as soon as possible. Establish suitable social rhythms and routines for persons with autism, and assist them in regularly engaging with others to help them create connections. Moreover, we are able to improve the development of autistic people by assisting them in interacting with others. Use images, modelling, urging, and practise to teach kids to share and take turns which organize a playdate at home. The youngster austistic has greater influence over the activities when they play at peaceful place. Praise and reward autistic children's good conduct when he or she shares and takes turns correctly.
